CISBOND VM-36 is specialized polymer based Fire resistant, breathable mastic for protection of thermal insulation installed indoor only. Forms tough and flexible Fire resistant film, protects insulation from water, snow, chemical spillage, etc. and contains no harmf solvents that will attack insulations or facings. Its thixotropic consistency yields smooth finish on rough substrates. It readily fills gaps and imperfections. Excellent adhesion to most metals and foil facings. Normally applied with a glass fiber reinforcing mesh in between two applications. Used as a protective coat over rigid board stock thermal insulations, in hot and dual temperature service. Used on heated lines, vessels and equipment in intermittent or dual temperature service to prevent dampness in the insulation during off periods or cold cycles.
